The component (10), e.g. for fastening a vehicle windscreen wiper motor and reduction gear assembly, consists of a rigid plate (12) of moulded plastic with fixing holes fitted with vibration damping bushes (50) of an elastically deformable material, especially rubber or elastomer, and inner sleeves (36) of a rigid material. The sleeves, each comprising a tubular body (38) and a collar (46), are made from the same material as the plate and moulded in one piece with it, being joined to it by flexible or breakable strips (37). Where the strips are flexible the sleeves can be inserted in the bushes by bending them; where they are breakable the sleeves are detached from the main moulding before being inserted in the bushes. The plate's fixing holes have radial openings for inserting the damping bushes, which can alternatively made by over-moulding or bi-injection.
