PURPOSE: Provided are a benzophenone-based compound and an ink composition comprising the same having physical properties improved significantly in both of light resistance and dispersibility. CONSTITUTION: The benzophenone-based compound is represented by the formula 1, wherein Y1 is H, OH, N(R1)(R2), SH or heteroalkyl, Y2 and Y3 are independently H, OH, N(R1)(R2), SH, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, heteroalkyl, aryl, arylalkyl, heteroaryl or heteroarylalkyl, X is alkylene, alkenylene, alkynylene, heteroalkylene, arylene, alkylenearylene, heteroarylene or heteroarylenealkylene, Y is a reactive linking group such as amide bond, ester bond, carbonyl bond and sulfonyl bond, Z is a radical of the formulae 2 or 3. The ink composition comprises 0.1-20 parts by weight of a coloring agent, 0.1 to 40 parts by weight of such benzophenone-based compound and an aqueous liquid medium containing water alone or a mixture of water and organic solvents.
