PURPOSE: A method of making a feed additive for cows and pigs by mixing ginseng powder, ginseng by-products, bean pods, vitamins and minerals is provided. The product inhibits lipid accumulation in cows and pigs and enhances the meat quality while promoting the growth when fed to cows and pigs after mixing with feed. CONSTITUTION: The feed additive for cows and pigs consists of: 60% by weight of ginseng powder, 35% by weight of beans(bean pods) and 5% by weight of other additives containing vitamin A, vitamin D and minerals(calcium phosphate). The feed additive is prepared by mixing the feed material and passing through a pelletizer to form a pellet. The ginseng powder is obtained by mixing dried ginseng root and ginseng by-products(leaves, stems) in a ratio of 30 to 70 and grinding with a grinder.
