A chemical protection of protein feed for ruminants, having the purpose of reducing the protein deamination by means of ruminal bacteria, which leave their amino acids at the intestines in order to be absorbed. The treatment can be carried out since different substances, such as formic aldheyde, form a chemical complex with proteins that is stable at the ruminal medium, the same being reversible at the acid medium of the abomaso and the proximal portion of the small intestine, where the action of proteolytic enzymes release their amino acids in order to be absorbed.
