TRIPLE CONVERSION TV TUNER AND A MOBILE TERMINAL USING THE SAME, ESPECIALLY CONCERNED WITH REALIZING A FUNCTION FOR RECEIVING A TV BROADCAST AT LOW POWER AND AT HIGH PERFORMANCE

PURPOSE: A triple conversion TV tuner and a mobile terminal using the same are provided to enable a user to receive and watch a TV broadcast at any time and anywhere by realizing a function of receiving a TV broadcast at low power and at high performance. CONSTITUTION: A triple conversion TV tuner comprises a TV broadcast antenna, an upconverter(22A), the first downconverter(24), and the second downconverter(22B). The upconverter(22A) upconverts the frequency of a TV channel, selected according to a channel selection signal(SCH) among the TV broadcast signals through the TV broadcast antenna, into a preset mobile communication frequency. The first downconverter(24) converts a signal transmitted from the upconverter(22A) into a primary intermediate frequency signal equivalent to the intermediate frequency of a mobile terminal. The second down converter(22B) converts the primary intermediate frequency signal into a secondary intermediate frequency signal corresponding to a preset TV broadcast intermediate frequency.
