The torsional vibration damper is for a motor vehicle transmission which has a friction clutch and flywheel with at least two masses operating in opposition to the torsion damper. The rotation between the two masses can be adjusted via an electric actuator. The actuator can be electromagnetic and form a friction clutch. The masses can be connected by a coil surrounding a weakly magnetic core.
