PLASTIC FILM FOR DISPLAY PANEL COMPRISING NANOCOMPOSITE GAS BARRIER LAYER COATED ON PLASTIC FILM, AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A plastic film for a display panel and its preparation method are provided, to obtain a satisfactory gas barrier property and to improve scratch resistance and the adhesion of an ITO electrode without deterioration of the optical properties of a film. CONSTITUTION: The plastic film comprises a plastic film; and a gas barrier layer coated on the film, wherein the gas barrier layer comprises a nanocomposite comprising a thermosetting resin and the clay nanoparticle organized with an alkyl ammonium uniformly dispersed in the resin. Preferably the plastic film comprises polyethersulfone or polycarbonate; the thermosetting resin is an epoxy resin or an unsaturated polyester resin; and the clay nanoparticle comprises sodium montmorillonite. The method comprises the steps of organizing a clay particle with an alkyl ammonium; mixing the organized clay particle with a thermosetting resin monomer to prepare a homogeneous mixture; coating the homogeneous mixture on the surface of a plastic film; and heat curing the coating layer formed on the plastic film.
