PURPOSE: A monitoring apparatus for easily controlling playback speed is provided to easily select playback speed of a picture for correcting a body posture by touching one button separately installed at a touch pad. CONSTITUTION: If a user touches a playback speed selection button(324) of a touch pad(320) connected with a main body(300) by a wire, the touch pad outputs a wire signal. A wire signal receiving unit of the main body receives the wire signal for outputting the same to a control unit. The control unit reads initial picture data stored in a storage unit for outputting an initial picture for selecting playback speed, and outputs the initial picture data to an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) unit(302). The LCD unit displays the initial picture for selecting playback speed.
