PURPOSE: A system for monitoring a pilot beacon in a mobile communication network is provided to swiftly cope with the abnormality of a pilot beacon by monitoring the operation state of the pilot beacon and transferring an abnormal state to the external in real time when the abnormality occurs. CONSTITUTION: A system for monitoring a pilot beacon(1) in a mobile communication network is comprised of a directional coupler(101), an RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) module(102), and a mobile terminal(103). The directional coupler(101) is inserted between the output port of the pilot beacon(1) and an antenna(3). The RSSI module(102) compares the RSSI of a radio wave outputted from the directional coupler(101) with a preset reference RSSI, and then generates an alarm signal to indicate an abnormal state of the pilot beacon(1) according to a compared result. The mobile terminal(103) calls a preset phone number according to the alarm signal and sends an alarm message to a monitoring center(2) or an operator in charge.
