PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device having high convenience, capable of charging a driving battery under wide range of conditions. SOLUTION: This charging device includes a power acquirement means for acquiring electric power from a commercial power supply; a battery-retaining means for retaining a charging battery; and a power transmission means for leading either the power acquired from the commercial power supply or the power of a charging battery to the driving battery. As a result, at least either the acquisition of the power from the commercial power supply and the acquisition of the charging battery is possible, and charging the driving the battery under wide range of conditions is available, and limitation on charging work is lessened, and convenience is enhanced.
