PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal driving device capable of suppressing a display defect, such as luminance unevenness, with low electric power consumption and a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: A reference voltage generating means 1309 is equipped with a first voltage dividing means constituted in such a manner that the voltages for assigning intensity levels in a plurality of ways can be generated by resistance dividing of the voltage differences of a plurality of reference voltages VR by a plurality of series connected divided resistors, a second voltage dividing means constituted in such a manner that a part or the whole of the plurality of the voltages for assigning the intensity levels can be generated by the resistance dividing of the voltage differences of the plurality of the reference voltages VR by the plurality of the series connected auxiliary resistances and a switching means which connects the corresponding voltages of a part or the whole of the plurality of the voltages for assigning the intensity levels generated by the first voltage dividing means and the plurality of the voltages for assigning the intensity levels generated by the second voltage dividing means to each other. The switching means is constituted to be put into a conducting state during the transient state period when a DA conversion circuit 1306 responds so as to operate both of the first voltage dividing means and the second voltage dividing means.
