PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously sterilize both of a photocatalyst filter 7c and an electric dust collector 1 by an ultraviolet ray lamp 6a. SOLUTION: In this air conditioner where a suction port and a blowout port are formed on a surface of a casing, a heat exchanger and a blower fan are mounted in the casing, an air trunk is formed between the suction port and the blowout port, the indoor air sucked from the suction portion is heat-exchanged, and then blown out into a room from the blowout port, the photocatalyst filter 7c and the electric dust collector 1 are mounted on the air trunk, and the ultraviolet ray lamp 6a is mounted between the photocatalyst filter 7c and the electric dust collector 1. The photocatalyst filter 7c, the ultraviolet ray lamp 6a and the electric dust collector 1 are mounted between the suction port and the heat exchanger. Further the photocatalyst filter 7c is mounted at a windward side of the ultraviolet ray lamp 6a, and the electric dust collector 1 is mounted at a leeward side of the ultraviolet ray lamp 6a.
