PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus by which a recording medium is easily removed at the time of jamming processing. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, a transfer-feeding unit 103 incorporating a transfer belt 110 is supported by a holding frame 115 capable of rocking in a separating direction from an image forming part 100 incorporating a photoreceptor 107. A fixing unit 104 has a pressure releasing member 118 to separate a heating roller 117 from a pressure roller 118 by linking with the rocking of the holding frame 115. The photoreceptor 107 and the transfer belt 110 are separated from each other by rocking the holding frame 115 and also the pressure of the recording medium by the heating roller 117 and the pressure roller 118 is released, so that the recording medium is easily removed.
