PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize stabilization of a discharge sustaining voltage and reduction of brightness deterioration of a fluorescent material in a protective film on a dielectric glass layer of a plasma display panel. SOLUTION: In the plasma display panel, as the protective film 14 of magnesium oxide (MgO) formed on the dielectric glass layer 13, by forming the protective film 14 of magnesium oxide (MgO) to which oxide containing an element having electric negativity of 1.4 or more is added, adsorption of impure gas to the protective film 14 is suppressed, and stabilization of the discharge sustaining voltage and reduction of the panel brightness deterioration can be realized.
