PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope device capable of efficiently illuminating an inspection part by eliminating optical losses due to elongation of a light guide fiber and decrease and deficiency in the quantity of light due to the optical loss at the connection interface to the tip adapter of the endoscope. SOLUTION: This endoscope device is so constituted that illumination light for observation can be obtained by arranging an LED 54 at the tip adapter and connecting a flexible tube 22 constituting the base end part of the insertion part 21 to a drum part 32, thereby supplying power to the LED 54 from a battery 36 arranged in this drum part 32.
