PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the influence of elastic deformation of a fuel injection valve on needle lift driving, which deformation is caused by clamping force or fuel pressure. SOLUTION: A solenoid assembly 35 is provided with a sleeve 40 between the fixed end 12d of an outer casing 12 and itself and is urged by a dish spring 42 at the end thereof opposite to the fixed end 12d. The clamping force largely compresses and elastically deforms the outer casing 12 at the intermediate portion 12c between the needle valve driving mechanism housing 12b and the fixed end 12d thereof. The sleeve 40, however, hardly changes in axial length irrespective of whether it is clamped or not. Accordingly, the solenoid assembly 35 in the needle valve driving mechanism housing 12b hardly changes in positional relationship with a nozzle 14 located at the axial tip end side of the fixed end 12d.
