PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide engineering capable of supplying a necessary sufficient amount of an oil to a section to be lubricated in an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: This internal combustion engine comprises an oil passage; a pump for delivering the oil; an oil pan temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of the oil stored in an oil pan; a temperature sensor for the section to be lubricated for detecting the temperature of the oil near the section to be lubricated; an oil level control valve for changing an oil flowing quantity in the oil passage; an oil level controller for reducing the flowing quantity of the oil if a temperature with the temperature sensor for the section to be lubricated is higher than a temperature with the oil pan temperature sensor and the temperature with the temperature sensor for the section to be lubricated is lower than a prescribed temperature.
