PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grooving tool which carries out grooving with high accuracy and forms grooves of different shapes. SOLUTION: The plurality of grooving tools 5 are arranged at a pitch corresponding to an interval between grooves to be formed in an abrasive cloth, and they each have a width conforming to the width of the groove. Each grooving tool has a blade body 51 formed like a disk as a whole, with a plurality of cutting edges 52 on a circumferential periphery thereof. Each cutting edge 52 is formed like a circular arc and formed not only at a front end but also on side surfaces of the blade body. The cutting edge 52 has a rake face 53 formed in a radial direction and a flank 54 formed in an area from the front end to a location slightly behind the same at a small angle of about 8°.
