PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fleece used for producing a filter rod or a filter continuous material for a tobacco processing industry, capable of improving quality thereof, and to provide an apparatus for the same. SOLUTION: The fleece 88 is produced by scattering and separating at least one kind of fiber 90 for a filter material by separating devices 80 and supplying the scattered and separated fiber 90 to conveyors 84, 86 travelling in the transfer direction, so as to drop the scattered and separated fiber 90 on the conveyors 84, 86.
