DAMPER STRUCTURE OF DRUM-TYPE WASHING MACHINE, PROMOTING REDUCTION OF VIBRATION AND NOISE OF WASHING MACHINE

PURPOSE: A damper structure of a drum-type washing machine is provided to attain reduction of vibration and noise by offering uniform large damping force at the early stage of dehydration in oder to damp excessive vibration of a drum and minimizing the damping force of a damper in rated dehydration. CONSTITUTION: A damper structure of a drum-type washing machine comprises a cylinder(161) of a hollow shape; a rod(162) one side of which is inserted in the cylinder; a sliding rod(163) integrally formed to a side of the rod; an electromagnet(165) inserted in a predetermined position of the rod; a pad holder(167) slidably installed to the peripheral surface of the sliding rod; and a damping pad(170) installed to the outer peripheral surface of the pad holder. The pad holder is fastened to one end of the rod when the magnetic force of the electromagnet acts. The damping pad makes damping force via friction with the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder.
