摘要 PURPOSE: A method for collectively designing safety valves and vent pipes is provided to reduce time and expense, and minimize an error due to a manual calculation by automatically calculating designs of the safety valves and the vent pipes. CONSTITUTION: Key data such as a valve type, a required capacity, a set pressure, an operating temperature, over pressures, and a back pressure for selecting a valve is inputted(S11). After calculating a relieving pressure, a vale selection factor value, such as a back pressure correction factor, a superheat correction factor, a high pressure correction factor, an effective coefficient of discharge, received from a vendor is inputted(S13). A minimum effective area size is compared with a required area size by inputting the required area size and calculating the minimum effective area size(S16). If the minimum effective area size is larger than the required area size, the minimum area size is determined as an optimal effective area size(S17).
