<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink set, which does not cause feathering and color bleeding on an absorptive recording medium or a nonabsorptive recording medium (including a nonabsorptive medium having surface irregularities) and can realize high density and high chroma saturation and can impart high glossiness to prints, and to provide an image recording method, an image recording apparatus and a record using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A fine particle-containing treatment liquid, which has been regulated so that the dispersed state is kept or broken by an external factor (for example, contact of a material or ultraviolet irradiation), and a colorant-containing recording liquid, which has been regulated so that the dispersed state or dissolved state is kept or broken by the external factor, are separately ejected by ink jet recording on a recording medium, and droplets thereof are brought into contact with each other to cause a change of state (for example, a pH change or a solubility change), whereby agglomeration is allowed to occur so that the fine particles in the treatment liquid are not substantially mixed with the colorant in the recording liquid to form an image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
