<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide merchandise accurately at the time when a user arrives at a store. <P>SOLUTION: Upon a reservation for merchandise purchase from a user's portable terminal device 2, an order acceptance device 1 installed in a store detects the user's current position more than once to detect the user's moving speed from the plurality of detected current positions. In dependence on the user's moving speed, the status of crowdedness of the store, and the like, a provision preparation start area is set as a geographic area showing a start of preparation for the provision of the merchandise to be provided for the user. The detection of the user's current position is continued, and when the user's current position moves into the provision preparation start area, the detection of the user's current position is stopped, and the store starts to prepare for the provision of the merchandise for the user.
