摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic clutch including a magnetic path forming member having a large magnetic path area and a clutch contact surface with good flatness. <P>SOLUTION: The magnetic path forming member is composed of first and second magnetic members made of magnetic metal, and a large-diameter cylindrical part of the first magnetic member and a small-diameter cylindrical part of the second magnetic member included in the large-diameter cylindrical part are united in a body by a ring body made of non-magnetic metal disposed between them. In this electromagnetic clutch, a friction clutch is interposed between the clutch contact surface formed on the front end face of the magnetic path forming member and an armature, and an electromagnet for generating a magnetic flux between the large diameter cylindrical part and a small diameter cylindrical part is disposed at the rear end part of the magnetic path forming member. With the front end face of the ring body moved backward from the front end faces of the large diameter cylindrical part and the small diameter cylindrical part by a predetermined amount, the outer peripheral edge of the ring body and the inner peripheral edge of the large diameter cylindrical part, and the inner peripheral edge of the ring body and the outer peripheral edge of the small diameter cylindrical part are respectively welded to each other, and the front end faces of the large diameter cylindrical part and the small diameter cylindrical part are cut to form the clutch contact surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
