PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the optical circuit board where an optical circuit can precisely be connected without requiring a large space by cutting an end part of an optical fiber at a specific angle to the board surface and boring a hole penetrating the board right below the cut surface. SOLUTION: The end part of the optical fiber is cut at an angle, where light can be refracted or reflected most at 90 deg. to the board surface. The hole penetrating the board is bored right below the cut surface and its internal wall is metallized. This hole is a hole for connecting the optical circuit and light is totally reflected by the end surface of the optical fiber which has been cut at 45 deg. and guided to a hole perpendicular to the optical fiber. As a substrate material, a resin film is used, and for a fixing means for the optical fiber, an adhesive coat resin film, adhesive resin film, or photosensitive resin is usable. Here, a quartz fiber is preferable as the optical fiber. |
