PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sliding door for an elevator where a reinforcing structural body of the upper edge part can be firmly fixed to a front plate without deformation caused by processing work in the producing process. SOLUTION: An upper part reinforcing member 15 and a vertical reinforcing member 21 are mounted on the front plate 12 of the sliding door 4 with an adhering means 17. A mounting part 18 formed on the upper part reinforcing member 15 is arranged overlapping a facing part 14 of the front plate 12 and a groove-shaped bottom face side 22 of the vertical reinforcing member 21. The overlapping part of the mounting part 18 and the facing part 14 of the front plate 12, etc. is fastened with a rivet 23. Thereby, the upper part reinforcing member 15 and the vertical reinforcing member 21 can be firmly fixed to the front plate 12 without welding deformation. Accordingly, the work for correcting the deformation can be omitted, and a hanger can be easily fixed to a predetermined position with a simple mounting adjustment work without the deformation at the fixed place of the upper part reinforcing member 15.
