PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated storage and retrieval warehouse capable of surely preventing dropping of a stored article with a simple structure at a low cost. SOLUTION: In this automated storage and retrieval warehouse 1, a basket cart 12 storing the stored article is conveyed to near an entrance of a storage 2 through a buffer conveyor 7, is delivered to a rotating part 8a of a warehousing conveyer 8, is placed on a turntable, and is rotated, and a direction of an aperture is shifted so that the aperture faces a direction confronting a back surface of a storing shelf 3. Then, the basket cart 12 is delivered to a conveying part 8b of the warehousing conveyer 8 and a stacker crane 10, and is stored in a predetermined position of the storing shelf 3 through a front surface 3a. Thus, the basket cart 12 is stored in the storing shelf 3 in a state that the aperture is easily confronted to the back surface of the storing shelf 3, and a phenomenon that the stored article is dropped from the front surface 3a of the storing shelf 3 can be prevented.
