PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the longer the fire tongs are, the more difficult it becomes to grasp a solid material, with the tip end portion twisted and deformed, thereby inducing inconveniences such as considering allowance, starting over, and if using short fire tongs, necessitating bending over. SOLUTION: Two plate-like or bar-like materials are parallelly arranged, which have the same dimensions as both ends of a roughly semicircular cross-section of a handle part of metal or resin fire tongs, the both ends of the two materials are closed to each other by the roughly semicircular plate-like or bar-like material to form an almost oval shape, and one of the closed portions is fixed to an arbitrary position in the lower part of the handle portion of the fire tongs. Thus, regardless of the length of the fire tongs, when grasping the fire tongs, the tip end portion of the fire tongs not fixed to the lower handle part of the fire tongs operates smoothly in the inside of two parallel rail-like shape, and two tip end portions always coincide to each other.
