PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a conventional chair used for hair cutting in a barber shop or beauty salon, etc. wherein a customer feels stress from the fatigue or tension on the neck because the chair is not especially different from an ordinary chair and the customer has to fix the position of his/her head by himself/herself, and it is hard for an operator to cut hair of a child or a dozing customer. SOLUTION: A chair body 1 has the face rest 3, which is a stand extending from left and right arm rests of the chair. The height, angle or position can be electrically adjusted by operating a switch mounted on the chair, and the face rest 3 is used for putting a customer's jaw on it. The head of the customer is fixed and the strain in the neck is relaxed while hair of the customer is cut. The contact surface between the face and the face rest has a massaging function for shaping up the contour of the jaw with vibrations of an electric vibrator. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
