PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent display unevenness which is generated when a plurality of gate lines are driven at the same time in current driving of an organic EL element.

SOLUTION: An active matrix type display device is equipped with a specified number of dummy gate lines 14 and/or 15 which are provided before a head gate line G1 among a plurality of gate lines G1 to S220 and/or behind the tail gate line G220, and current-programmed from source lines S1 to S176 under the control of the gate driver 11.
