<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure an improved sealing property in an outboard motor by surely sealing the part between an engine cover and an exhaust pipe discharging exhaust gas to the outside, and surely absorbing a deviation between the exhaust pipe and an opening for taking out the exhaust pipe of the engine cover. <P>SOLUTION: In the outboard motor with an engine covered with a cover member, the exhaust pipe for discharging at least a part of exhaust gas of the engine in the air is provided to a main-body case, and an end of the exhaust pipe is protruded to the outside from the opening made in the cover member. A sealing means 30 for sealing the part between the cover member and the exhaust pipe is provided in the opening. The sealing means includes parts to be held by either one of the cover member or the exhaust pipe, 1st sealing parts 35, 35a, a 2nd sealing part 38 in contact with the exhaust pipe, and a deviation-absorbing part 40 placed between the parts to be held and either one of the sealing parts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
