<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keyless entry device for preventing noise to the neighborhood, by controlling an answer-back sound in response to a one's own vehicle-placed environment. <P>SOLUTION: This keyless entry device issues the answer-back sound to a keyless signal from a key unit 11; and controls the sound volume and/or a tone color of the answer-back sound on the basis of the one's own vehicle-placed environment, for example, illuminance around one's own vehicle and/or ones's own vehicle position.
