TRANSMITTER USING NON-LINEAR DISTORTION COMPENSATION CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter which uses a non-linear distortion compensation circuit and performs distortion compensation at a lower cost and with high accuracy even when a distortion compensation band changes in accordance with a change in a transmission speed.

SOLUTION: The transmitter employs, as compensation systems in the non-linear distortion compensation circuit, a feedback system having constitution of feeding back a portion of an output signal of a power amplifier to an input side and a predistortion system for performing distortion compensation by generating a reverse characteristic of distortion caused by the power amplifier at an input prestage of the power amplifier and selects the compensation systems depending on a transmission speed.
