PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detection sensor which has no detecting electrodes appearing on the surface, moreover is very small in the reduction of an input signal when its contact area is small, and can surely detect contact of an object similarly approximately to the case when the contact area is large even if the contact area is small. SOLUTION: This sensor is provided with a sensor case 11 made of an insulating material, a detecting electrode (A electrode) 13 arranged on the internal surface of the sensor case 11, a touch electrode (touch electrode A) 14 which is arranged at an opposed position to the detecting electrode 13 on the external surface of the sensor case 11, and is capacity-coupled to the detecting electrode 13, and a detector 40 which is connected to the detecting electrode 13, detects a contact of the object with the touch electrode 14 on the basis of a change in the electrostatic capacity between the detecting electrode 13 and the ground.
