TUNNEL EXCAVATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively construct a large sectional tunnel in a springing natural ground. SOLUTION: A pilot pile 101 penetrates while lining with segments 103 while advancing an enclosed tunnel excavator which can cut off as it is. Cutting off improvement is conducted from the inside to the outside springing natural ground, the springing natural ground in the more outside than the scheduled section of the main existing tunnel 100 is improved to a cut out natural ground 104. While dismantling and removing the segments of the pilot pile. an annular natural ground between the improved water sealing natural ground and the pilot pile is covered while excavating by an open type whole section tunnel excavator 106 to construct the main tunnel 100. The dismantled segments are transferred to the forward side and carried out from the well head.
