PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproduction control method of an optical disk reproducing device reproducing the signal recorded in a disk. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a system control circuit 8 to which a reading instruction signal outputted from a computer device 9 is inputted and which controls operation of the optical disk reproducing device, a decode-buffer circuit 7 in which a signal read out from a disk D is stored temporarily and a signal stored for decode-processing is read out, and a spindle motor control circuit 11 controlling rotation speed of the spindle motor rotation-driving the disk, when read-out operation of a signal recorded in the disk D in a state in which the disk D is rotated at high speed is performed, and when storage capacity of signals written in the decode-buffer circuit 7 reaches more than prescribed quantity, rotation speed of the disk D is changed to a low speed rotation state.
