PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kinesthesia application type input device where the dimension of the device in the direction of the output shaft of a motor can be reduced. SOLUTION: This kinesthesia application type input device is provided with a rotary encoder 10 where a casing 8 of a motor 5 is formed in a case body 1 so as to be rotatable, and an output shaft 6 of the motor 5 is fixed to an output shaft fixing part 7 in the case body 1, and the angle of rotation of the casing 8 is detected. Also, this device is provided with a controller 18 where an operation signal is outputted according to the angle of rotation of the casing 8 detected by the rotary encoder 10, and the driving force of the motor 5 is controlled.
