PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose an elevator shaft door of a telescopic door, for securing the nonoccurrence of a large gap opening outside of allowance by influence of heat in a fire. SOLUTION: The elevator shaft closing device, the method for fulfilling fire protection requirements of the elevator shaft closing device, and its installation method are provided. In this elevator shaft closing device, a door frame 2 is constituted of at least two parts 20a and 20b in an area of the closing edge 3, and these parts shift a position to mutual ones under the influence of heat (20a'). In the fire, the first door frame part 20a separates from the second door frame part 20b. While the first door frame part curves by influence of the heat and moves to the front of a door 1a, the second door frame part 20b substantially keeps an original shape. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
