<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extremely simple method for evaluating the uniformity of spots in a DNA microarray. <P>SOLUTION: In the DNA microarray having a plurality of spots specifically emitting light by the hydridization of target DNA with labelled probe DNA, the uniformity of the spots is evaluated based on whether a pattern having cyclicity is developed in background data as follows, that is, 1. The background data corresponding to each of the spots is obtained by adapting analyzing software to an image obtained by scanning the monochromatic light emitting image of the DNA microarray, 2. the plate-to-plate No. (α) and plate position (β, γ) of target DNA corresponding to each of the spots are calculated, 3. the plate-to-plate No. (α) and the plate position (β, γ) are allowed to correspond to each background data and 4. backgbround data are arranged in the order of the plate No. (α) and the plate position (β, γ) to obtain a series BG. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
