<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic image processor which can acquire the ultrasonic images with the effect of the beats corrected by simply discriminating the presence of the beats. <P>SOLUTION: The position of the boundary of a wall surface to be corrected is detected from the echo data in the radial images and then, the group of the echo data in the direction of linear movement undergoes a spectral analysis with the FFT to extract the frequency component Af with the maximum amplitude. By finding out whether the value of the frequency component is above the reference value Aref or not, it is judged that the frequency component is the beat frequency Bf from a beat. When a beat is determined, the wavelength λa of the beat is calculated to make an averaging in the movement of the echo data based on the wavelength λa of the beat. Thus, the echo data with the corrected effect of the beat are acquired, thereby enabling the drawing of 3D images or the like with the reduced effect of the beat. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
