APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COLOR FILTER, AND COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for manufacturing a high-precision filter by accurately aligning layers forming a color filter, and the color filter manufactured by the apparatus and method.

SOLUTION: In order to accurately match positions of a black matrix 15 and a photo-mask 4a for color filter layers, alignment is performed to match the center of a window 55-1 and the center of a mark 53-1 which is formed when forming the black matrix 15. The alignment is performed by rotating a roller 24-1b of a nip roller couple 22b in a direction B and rotating a roller 24-2b in a direction B' while fixing a nip roller couple 22a or by rotating the roller 24-1b in a direction C and rotating the roller 24-2b in a direction C' and applying a tensile force to a sheet-like base material 11. The alignment is confirmed by CCD cameras 35a, 35b and the photo-mask 4a for the R layer is then exposed.
