<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head assembly capable of solving the problems, such as the vibration and damage to a magnetic tape, when recording a servo signal with a servo writer, and to provide the servo writer thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The magnetic head assembly 10 is used to write the servo signal for controlling the position of a magnetic head to the magnetic tape MT for the magnetic tape MT. The magnetic head assembly 10 comprises a servo signal write head 11 having a sliding surface 11a on which a magnetic gap for writing the servo signal on the magnetic tape MT is formed; and a guide block 12 that is provided adjacent to at least one of the upstream and downstream sides of the magnetic tape MT of the servo signal write head 11 and has a corner section 12c sliding with the magnetic tape MT at a position retreating from the sliding surface 11a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
