<p>The exhaust gas temperature increasing device uses an exhaust throttle valve (49) inserted in the exhaust gas line (45,47), which is moved into a fully closed position by a valve control device, with simultaneous control of the main fuel injection device for the engine (1), for increasing the quantity of fuel injected by the fuel injection valves (32), for heating an emission control catalyser (46) inserted in the exhaust line upstream of the throttle valve to its required working temperature.. An Independent claim for an i.c. engine exhaust gas temperature increasing method is also included.</p> |
