ULTRAVIOLET IRRADIATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet irradiation device capable of efficiently dissipating heat generated by an ultraviolet ray generating source to the outside.

SOLUTION: The ultraviolet irradiation device is provided with: an electrode part 31 connected with a power source; an ultraviolet lamp 21 having a light emission part 30 which is protruded from the electrode part 31 and radiates ultraviolet rays under voltage application; a support member 25 which supports the electrode part 31 of the ultraviolet lamp 21; and a protection cover 24 which covers the electrode part 31 and has the lower part thereof fixed to the support member 25. A large number of air holes 72 are disposed on the lower part of the protection cover 24, a cylindrical body part 58b which protrudes to the upper side beyond the highest position of the air holes 72 is disposed on the support member 25, and the electrode part 31 is supported on the upper side beyond the upper end of the cylindrical body part 58b.
