WHEEL CYLINDER PISTON FOR DRUM BRAKE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel cylinder piston for a drum brake, strongly assembling a piston body and a shoe receiving member.

SOLUTION: The wheel cylinder piston 21 for a drum brake has a piston body 4 sliding in the interior of a wheel cylinder and a shoe receiving member 5 supporting a brake shoe. Both the piston body 4 and the shoe receiving member 5 are assembled to each other by fitting a fit-in shaft 51 formed on the shoe receiving member 5 in a fit-in hole 40 formed in the piston body 4. The inner wall surface of the fit-in hole 40 is provided with three or more projecting parts 42 crushed when the fit-in shaft 51 is fitted in the fit-in hole 40 to thereby prevent the fit-in shaft 51 from slipping out of the fit-in hole 40. The respective projecting parts 42 are provided on the inner wall surface of the fit-in hole 40 outside of the position of an extension line connecting the tip of the other projecting part 42 and the center of the hole of the fit-in hole 40.
