POWER CONTROL METHOD USING DTX FRAME DETECTION FOR COMMUNICATION CHANNEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a discontinuous transmission (DTX) frame in a frame which is received on a communication channel, and to provide a power control method. SOLUTION: Radio link protocol (RLP) information can be received on the communication channel and on the basis of the RLP information, one or a plurality of frames relating to the RLP information can be determined as an erasure or DTX frame. Such determination can be integrated into an outer loop power control algorithm for adjusting a threshold relating to the designated quality of service. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
