PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a brilliant material coating composition forming a smooth metallic luster coated film having a good arrangement state of metal flakes, an excellent metal appearance and a good appearance without lowering the arrangement state even when a top coating layer is formed thereon. SOLUTION: The brilliant coating material composition comprises the metal flakes, a solvent and a binder resin. Furthermore, the binder resin contains a curable resin and a cellulosic resin.
