PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a distribution chart and to decide whether it is good or bad by automatically detecting the position of spike noises. SOLUTION: The cross-correlation function of a signal waveform from a magnetic head 1 and a reference wavelength for simulating spike noise is used for spike noise extraction. The number at which the peak of the cross-correlation function exceeds the threshold is counted and the spike noise is quantitatively evaluated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
