PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting information included in a phosphorous layer, which has a light source (2) for irradiating the phosphorous layer (1) with exciting light (3) suitable to excite a radiation (4) in the phosphorous layer (1), a detector (6) for detecting the radiation (4) stimulated in the phosphorous layer (1), and filter equipment (8) having transmitting property in the 1st wavelength region (W1) of the radiation (4) and non-transmitting property in the 2nd wavelength region (W2) of the stimulating light (3) and arranged between the phosphorous layer (1) and the detector (6). SOLUTION: The filter equipment (8) is regulated to the one having the non-transmitting property in at least a 3rd wavelength region (W3) whose wavelength is longer than that of the 2nd wavelength region (W2) of the stimulating light (3) in order to improve reliability at the time of detecting the radiation.
