PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel and its driving method that realize initialization of electric discharge in a short period of time. SOLUTION: After an applied voltage is raised or lowered rapidly enough to cause strong discharge in a reset section, an electrode is floated and then the level of a voltage applied into a discharge space during the discharge is made low to make the discharge disappear by itself, controlling wall charges in detail.
